Moments for Self-Motivation

By Chaplain Rachel Ferrarini
How often do we need a word of encouragement throughout the day? How often do we need to say them to ourselves? Thankfully we have so many songs, popular culture and spiritual songs, Psalms, proverbs, and little notes all over that give us inspiration for those moments when we need an encouraging word.
Just think of the things that decorate our cars and our offices! We have signs with Bible verses like Psalms 117: “Praise the Lord all you nations, extol him all, you peoples. For great is his love towards us and the Faithfulness of the Lord endures forever! Praise the Lord!”
Or signs that Read: “This is Our Happy Place”; “Live, Laugh, Love”; “You are braver than you believe, Stronger than you think and more Loved than you will ever know.”
And “Stressed spelled backward is Desserts!”
We keep these signs around and the music up to have motivation. We recognize that self-motivation is vital to keeping up our morale both personally and for the team. These things also remind us of what we are thankful for in our personhood and in our work. These moments push out the struggles that we have been working through and/or are facing.
Hence, let us encourage ourselves and one another to take our much-needed moments to remind ourselves that we are able to do the work that is before us to do and to remind ourselves and the teams that we work with, that we can make today a beautiful day in spirit.
Please receive this Blessing!
May the Creator of all remind you of the many gifts that you have been given, including His encouraging love and support of you.
